INTERCLUB COMPETITIONS  - A QUICK RUN DOWN OF HOW OUR CLUB'S REPRESENTATIVES STAND

Men's singles

This has reached the third round stage - the last sixteen. We are guaranteed a quarter-final place, as Peter King will meet Peter Hare in that one. Peter Hare won his spot after a marathon 28 ends win over club-mate Gerald Plant in the second round.

As for the remainder, there will be a lot of trips to Floresta! Most of our players have to go there for their next games.

Open Fours

At the quarter final stage. Jean and Peter King, plus Peter and Miriam Hare will be on their way to Floresta.

Triples

This is at the second round stage. Two trips also needed to Floresta. Peter and Miriam Hare, with Pauline Denyer, also Jan Wilson, Lynn King and Gui Gomes are heading that way to keep the flag flying we hope.  However, Keith Johnson, Alison Wooding and Julie Sanderson have a home tie.

Mixed Pairs

Lynn King and Gui Gomes also have to go to Floresta!

Ladies' Pairs

Jean King and Julie Sanderson will set the ball rolling in the second round as they had a bye in the first. They at least will be at home.

Our players have been knocked out of the Mixed Fours, Men's Pairs and Ladies' singles.

A big thank you! Email received following their visit - The West End club have just returned from their bowls tour and they have been straight on the phone wanting to thank you for your great hospitality.  They said they had a wonderful welcome at your club in particular and really enjoyed playing your team at the club. I said I would happily pass on their comments and I want to add my thanks for making my teams feel so welcome.  Best regards,  Julie Osborne, Holiday Heat Ltd
